Tim Friday

President, Trust & Custody

Tim Friday is President of Trust & Custody at Ascensus. With more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, he leads Ascensus’ Trust & Custody, PensionPro, FiduciaryxChange, and ERISApedia businesses.

Tim’s career began with Federated Investors, Inc. where he worked with banks, savings and loans, and trust departments representing asset management and trust investment services. From there, he spent time with Mellon Bank in the global cash management division where he consulted for Fortune 500 companies.

Tim later founded Mid Atlantic Institutional Shares, Inc. (“MAIS”), which was first sold to SunGard/FIS. He then formed Mid Atlantic Trust Company (“MATC”), which was sold along with several other Mid Atlantic Group of Companies to Parthenon Capital which formed EdgeCo.

Tim was then appointed to the board of directors and was President and CEO of various retirement companies under the AmericanTCS platform.

With the acquisition of the AmericanTCS firm in 2026, Tim joined the Ascensus Executive Leadership team.

Tim received his bachelor's degree in modern languages from John Carroll University.
