Marc Mehlman

Chief Financial Officer

Marc Mehlman is CFO of Ascensus, with responsibility for strategy, finance, accounting, procurement and our real estate and Facilities teams.   With more than 25 years of experience in the financial services and tax software industries, Marc has dedicated his career to building sustainable enterprises that put customers at the forefront of all business decisions. Marc is known for building high performing teams, improving decision making through clear financial insights, and aligning capital allocation with long term strategic objectives. He joined Ascensus in 2024.  Before Ascensus, Marc was the CFO for the publicly traded Blucora Inc., a holding company for the consumer tax software business TaxAct and the tax-focused broker dealer Avantax. Marc helped drive successful exits of both businesses to new ownership. Prior to Blucora, Marc served in multiple senior roles over 15 years at Thomson Reuters serving as General Manager of their Large Corporates division and as Managing Director of the ONESOURCE Tax Software business.   He holds a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and his MBA from the NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
