Chief Human Resources Officer

Jeri Hawthorne is Chief Human Resources Officer of Ascensus, where she is responsible for the organization’s enterprise people strategy, including talent strategy, total rewards, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and cultivating a strong, inclusive culture aligned with Ascensus’ values and growth objectives. With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance, financial services, energy, and pharmaceutical industries, Jeri has dedicated her career to aligning HR to business goals, leading enterprise-wide organizational design, and overseeing the entire HR lifecycle. She joined Ascensus in 2025.  Before Ascensus, Jeri served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Aflac and held senior HR leadership roles at Campbell & Company; Constellation, Exelon’s energy business; T. Rowe Price; and the U.S. Pharmacopeia. Earlier in her career, she worked in international HR at Novo Nordisk A/S while based in Denmark. Jeri has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheeling Jesuit University and a Master of Science degree from the University of Bath, UK. She also proudly served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserve.
