Dan Morrison

Dan Morrison is President of Retirement at Ascensus. Dan has more than 25 years of experience across the defined contribution and broader retirement markets including traditional 401(k) and advisor-driven segments of the industry. He has dedicated his career to leading enterprise-wide retirement business lines, organic growth and acquisitions, and driving large scale positive transformation. Dan joined Ascensus in 2026 as President of Retirement. Previously, he served as Head of Government and Taft Hartley Markets for Empower, responsible for more than 10,000 plans, comprising over $400B in assets and more than five million participants. His previous roles at Empower span sales, relationship management, and participant engagement management. Dan started his career with Merrill Lynch. He holds degrees in Mathematics and English from the University of Vermont.
