IRA Withholding Notice Mailing Service
The IRS requires you to notify IRA owners that they can change their income tax withholding elections for IRA distributions. The notice timing and frequency varies by IRA owner withdrawal elections.
We can process and mail your required withholding notices on a semi-annual schedule (June and December). If you’re on our Fully-Administered Program, we’ll generate the needed data collection file from IRAdirect®.
If not, you must submit your data collection file to us, and we’ll assist you in determining recipients for each mailing.
